Chapter 135: Kelly went to the Nursery
In the late summer evening, Abigail Green arrived at the airport at 6:30, just in time to see the afterglow of the sunset spreading, wrapping the entire Starry Airport in a layer of golden light.
It was exactly like that evening when Abigail first met Brandon Piers.
Stunningly beautiful.
But bathing in such golden light did not relieve Abigail’s mood in the slightest.
Her mind was filled with thoughts of Teddy.
If Kelly was one of Thompson Taylor’s people, then Abigail really had no idea what she might do to Teddy.
Because of her nervousness, the wound on Abigail’s abdomen, which had originally healed, throbbed faintly, as if reminding her what the original owner had sacrificed for this child.
Her forehead, due to the tension, was covered in a thin layer of cold sweat.
Noel Roberts, inconvenient to show himself, did not get out of the car. He only saw Abigail Green on the verge of collapse, and his confusion grew.
“You all go help her.” Noel looked at Abigail’s back and instructed the remaining two people.
“Yes.”
Originally, Noel was not very worried about George Piers. He believed that since Brandon Piers, that monster, was prepared for the possibility of surgical failure, he would surely have made proper arrangements for Teddy and the old man.
Even if Brandon faced an accident in the operating room, there would still be no problem with Teddy. He didn’t even take Thompson Taylor’s words to heart.
After all, how could Brandon let such a bug exist around his own son? If it stayed, it was useful. If not, it would be dealt with before leaving, never letting Teddy be in danger.
But logic was logic. Seeing Abigail Green desperately fighting for Teddy, along with her worried and anxious demeanor, made Noel start to waver.
Could Teddy really be in danger?
At this thought, Noel dialed Brandon’s number, only to find that he had just finished talking with the old master and had fallen asleep due to the medication.
Without an answer, Noel could only ask Pullan, “Pullan, Miss Green has entered the airport. Do you know who is responsible for transferring Teddy this time?”
“Kennan Max is responsible for the young master’s transfer. Second Young Master has already arranged it, and the information has just been sent to Miss Green,” Pullan promptly answered.
Noel hummed in acknowledgment and then pondered, “Is your nanny, Kelly, also with Teddy this time?” n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
“Of course, Kelly is feeding Teddy.”
Pullan’s completely unaware attitude made Noel’s heart tighten, “Do you know Kelly was threatened by Threo’s men?”
“What?” Pullan stood up in shock.
Noel couldn’t help licking his molars, “You didn’t know?”
“Kelly is an elder of the Piers family. She wouldn’t betray,” Pullan clenched his fists, but his heart sank bit by bit. He thought about how secretive Second Young Master’s surgery was, yet there was still an accident, and he himself was unknowingly poisoned. Now, even Kelly was one of Uncle Piers’ people. Then the young master…
Pullan dared not think further.
“What if her family was threatened?” Noel didn’t know whether to laugh at Pullan’s naivety or innocence.
At this, Pullan fell silent, finally biting his teeth, “I’ll have Kennan Max deal with her immediately.”
After hanging up, Pullan felt his hands shaking. If Second Young Master’s surgery failed and he could die at any moment, and if the young master couldn’t be protected, this branch of the Piers family might be doomed.
Pullan wanted to cry and suppressed it while contacting Kennan Max.
Abigail had already found the group escorting Teddy. Her eyes swept past the elegant and gentle-looking special assistant Max and searched for Teddy, but found nothing. She couldn’t help but ask, “Excuse me, Special Assistant Max, where is Teddy? Why don’t I see Teddy?”
On the way, Pullan had sent Kennan Max’s information to Abigail.
Kennan Max looked at the chubby girl in front of him, confirming she was the Piers family’s monthly helper, and courteously replied, “Teddy was hungry. Kelly took him to the nursery.”
Abigail’s legs went weak. What?
