Chapter 6269: Blade Removal
Chapter 6269: Blade Removal
“Who did this? Senior Xuansu’s cultivation had dropped dramatically and could be taken over.” Violet Dragon remarked.
“The culprit might not want to, just whoever afterward has a chance.” Li Qiye said.
Violet Dragon tried to come closer but was almost infected by the black energy. She became surprised: “I can’t refine it.”
“It’s abnormal or her treasure would have refined it away.” Li Qiye said.
“Please save her, Senior.” Violet Dragon knew her limits.
Li Qiye stared at the women on the ground and sighed: “So be it, she’s saved.”
“Pluff!” Having said that, he grabbed the broken blade and pulled it out, resulting in an eruption of the black energy.
It seemed to be alive and was used to growing on her body. Therefore, it immediately entered the gaping hole and spread everywhere.
“Ugh...” Li Xuansu groaned despite having the best defensive treasure and merit laws, feeling suffocated by the sudden influx.
“This looks bad!” Violet Dragon blurted. This explained why Li Xuansu had never removed the blade from her chest.
“Buzz.” Li Qiye conjured primordial light around his hand and sent it throughout her body.
The black energy seemed to be afraid and hurriedly avoided this new affinity. This was akin to darkness being afraid of light, destined to be destroyed.
As the primordial light cast a net across her body, the black energy ran out of places to hide. It didn’t take long before the former pushed the black energy into a single group.
The process finished after several waves of deep scans. The group of black energy, furious, roared like a trapped beast. It wanted to break the net and Li Xuansu’s body to escape.
Its fury was no match for Li Qiye’s primordial light. It coiled around the black energy tightly, fully suppressing and purifying it.
The purified strands turned into smoke and floated away from her. Violet Dragon watched in awe because this black energy was too potent for her to handle.
If she were to recklessly start this process, it would destroy Li Xuansu to pieces on top of catching her, subjecting her to the same fate.
Only Li Qiye’s absolute power - this unknown light to her - could capture and contain all the black energy.
The prisoner roared with rage and despair, slowly disappearing from reality. After it was gone completely, blood of a normal color gushed out of her chest.
“Buzz.” Primordial light gathered by this wound and helped it heal, disappearing from sight. With the main issue dealt with, it permeated throughout the rest of her.
“Ah.” She trembled and sat up, regaining consciousness.
“This is...” She looked down and no longer saw the broken blade. The black energy and her injuries were gone as if the whole thing was just an eternal nightmare. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
“No more injuries but you will have to start over with cultivation. This is not just because of the black energy but because the attacks dealt considerable damage to your dao foundation.” Li Qiye told her.
She stared at Li Qiye and noticed Violet Dragon Empress, fully grasping the situation.
“Thank you for saving me, Sir, I was done for.” She prostrated to show gratitude.
“You risked your life for the mission, I did what I should.” Li Qiye smiled.
“Senior, what happened? I remember you were just fine when you sealed me back then with the others.” Violet Dragon asked.
“Unexpected indeed, I survived but barely.” Li Xuansu sighed and said: “It happened so quickly so I escaped to my tomb to hibernate. It was a good thing I prepared contingency plans or I would have died long ago.”
“The immortal treasure left behind for you was put to good use because your clan’s resources were far from enough versus that black energy.” Li Qiye said.
